Denver Man Indicted On Multiple Forgery-Related Charges

James RawlingsHICKORY, N.C. – A Denver man was arrested Wednesday on multiple forgery-related charges.

38-year-old James Levern Rawlings was arrested by Hickory Police.  He was served indictments issued by the Catawba Co. Sheriff’s Office on felony counts of larceny of chose in action (which deals with the theft of financial instruments, such as checks), uttering a forged instrument, forgery of bank notes or checks and obtaining property by false pretense.

Rawlings was placed in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility with bond set at $12,000, secured.  He was scheduled to make an appearance in Superior Court today (July 5) in Newton.
