FORT MILL, S.C. — A Charlotte man faces drug charges after he allegedly hid an ounce of marijuana in the crotch of his pants, according to police.
A deputy saw a car collision at the intersection of S.C. 160 and Stockbridge Drive near Tega Cay on Thursday afternoon. The officer stopped one of the cars to check on the occupants, according to a York County Sheriff’s Office report.
The deputy smelled a strong odor of marijuana in the car. The officer called for backup and a plastic baggy of marijuana was found under the car. A cloth bag with about 29 ounces of marijuana was found inside the car on the floorboard.
One suspect, Aleksander Doughty, 17, of Fort Mill, admitted to the marijuana under the car and was issued a ticket for marijuana possession, according to the police report.
The second suspect, Henrique Porpino Vitorio, 19, of Charlotte, admitted to the larger bag inside the car, the report states.
After deputies took Vitorio to the Fort Mill Police Department and contacted narcotics agents with the York County drug unit, Vitorio “removed another baggy of marijuana from his crotch that contained approximately 28 grams,” according to the report.
