Out of those crimes, she's served jail time for 11 of them, with the other 6 given probation and 3 suspended sentence (for a total of approximately 79 months served). That pretty much corresponds with the percentage figure I heard for Mecklenburg Co. (46% of *charged* felonies are dismissed or given no jail time -- the scary thing is that in her case, this is for actual *case* CONVICTIONS that went to trial!)<BR/><BR/>And remember...these are just for the crimes she's been caught for. How many other times has she not been caught?<BR/><BR/>The citizens of Charlotte have had enough with the revolving door and hug-a-thug program. This is another prime example of the broken justice system we have in Mecklenburg County. It's time to remove the elected officials who have supported a culture of continued lack of accountability (regardless of which political t-shirt you wear). <BR/><BR/>We have all the pretty things a city should need (new arena, new whitewater center, thriving downtown, (soon) new baseball stadium, new arts center, new afro-american center, new roads for private developers, new incentives for relocating businesses) all paid by you and I.
