Fire at Charlotte Storage Building Intentionally Set, Fire Dept Says

fire lineCapt. Dennis Gist from the Charlotte Fire Department has said a fire at a storage building that cause around $150,000 of damage was set intentionally early Tuesday.

The fire started in the 7200 block of Cherry Tripp Drive, off East Independence Boulevard and Village Lake Drive, around midnight.

The fire was controlled within 33 minutes by 40 or more firefighters, Gist said.

There were no injuries in the fire.
