Four Men Charged In String Of Property Crimes

UNION COUNTY, N.C. – Authorities in Union County have arrested four men in connection with 43 break-ins in Union County.

The four men have been arrested for a string of property crimes that date back to August 2009 in which outbuildings, garages and sheds hit.  A combines value of stolen property equals $100,000.

The four men arrested are 42-year-old David Franklin Hobbs, Jr., David Allen Hobbs, 21, 21-year-old Kenneth Davis Taylor and 22-year-old Samuel Ryan Templin, all of Monroe.

Each of the suspects is charged with numerous counts of felony breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.

The Union County Sheriff’s Office says not all of the men are accused in each of the 43 break-ins, but as a group, officials believe these four are responsible for the crimes.  They say that even more arrests are possible.

The majority of the items stolen were hand and power tools, yard equipment, fishing and hunting equipment and firearms. The stolen goods have a value of more than $100,000.
