Gaston County Narcotics Investigation Rounds Up 18 People

Gaston County Seal Use This oneGASTON COUNTY, N.C. —On May 16-17, the Gaston County Police arrested 18 people as part of a warrant roundup following several narcotics-related investigations and undercover operations.

Those arrested were from Gaston County as well as neighboring counties and had multiple charges ranging from misdemeanors up to felony narcotics trafficking related to pills, cocaine, and marijuana.

The following is the list of people who were arrested in the roundup:

Joshua Meeks, 32; Gina Meeks, 32; Paula Kelly, 34; Edward Boone, 51; Alicia Stroup, 41; Charles Reep Jr, 44; Jessica Owens, 23; James Bass, 44; Karen Phillips, 43; Anthony Fewell, 51; Justin Brown, 23; Crystal Sisk, 48; Albert Ross, 27; James West Jr, 41; Steven Shaw, 34; Kenneth Mason, 39; Brittany Sanders, 25; and Cassandra Willard, 24.

Investigations spanned many months and included hundreds of hours put forth by the county police Special Investigations Unit.

The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, Ranlo police, Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs all assisted in the investigations.

Many of the suspects were well known to law enforcement having been involved in narcotics-related arrests in the past.
