A Gaston County man cut another man’s throat while holding a box cutter in each hand, police said.
Richard Brent McCall, 27, 4805 Union Road, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon, city records show. He was booked on Monday into Gaston County Jail.
Police have not said how badly the victim was hurt or the relationship between the man and McCall.
McCall is still facing trial for March charges including stealing a gun and receiving property under false pretenses, February charges of possessing illegal drugs, and a July 2014 charge of larceny.
