Gastonia Felon Shot Into Woman’s Car

AR-160728768Police charged a felon in Gastonia with trying to kill a woman after he shot into her car.

Travis Sentell Lewis, 29, of 2616 Crawford Ave., told the victim he would “shoot her house up” before shooting with a black gun into a Nissan Altima while the victim was i the car, arrest warrants show. The victim and Lewis were in a personal relationship.

He has been charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill, possession of a firearm by a felon, and discharging a weapon into an occupied property, and misdemeanor communicating threats. He was on a domestic violence hold in Gaston County Jail.

Lewis was released from an eight-year prison term in 2014 for several convictions of violent crime. In 2005, he was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill. Ten months after that, he was convicted on multiple counts of felonious restraint, second-degree kidnapping, assault by pointing a gun, robbery with a dangerous weapon,  and communicating threats.
