Gastonia Man Arrested for Multiple Car Break-Ins

Jeremy Steven ConradA man was arrested by Gastonia police in connection with six car break-ins that have been happening since July.

Jeremy Steven Conrad, 24, of Gastonia has been charged with six counts of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle and six counts of misdemeanor larceny.

He is in jail on $100,000 bail.

The locations of the car thefts were on Tea Olive Drive, Firethorn Court, and Robinwood Road, according to police.

Conrad stole several types of items from the vehicles, including sunglasses, a wallet, makeup, cologne, games, a GPS, a camera bag and camera equipment, a briefcase, headphones, a bag of clothes, and an iPad.

Police said some vehicles were unlocked and some were locked.

Officers are warning residents to not leave valuable items in plain sight and to lock their vehicles.
