A Gastonia man stole a shopping cart that contained belongings of another man on Saturday, police said.
Delaurentis Kalam Davis, 25, of 2318 Sunset Ave., is facing charges of resisting a public officer, felony common law robbery, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana.
Davis stole a shopping cart containing around $100 worth of items that belonged to Gastonia man Robert Holland, arrest warrants show. It was unclear where the theft happened.
Davis then gave a Gastonia police officer a false name when he was questioned. That’s when he was discovered to be possessing a small plastic bag full of marijuana.
He was arrested and held on $40,000 bond in Gaston County Jail.
