Gastonia Woman Left 2 Young Children Alone at Home

CIC Default Blue LightPolice arrested a Gastonia woman after she left her 2-year-old and 5-year-old by themselves at home.

Donella Latoya Cook, 34, of Scruggs Street, has been charged with one misdemeanor count of resisting a public officer, two misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, driving with a revoked license, and traffic violations of driving while impaired.

The incident occurred just after midnight at Cook’s home on Saturday. The two children were found unattended at the home without any adults there. They are both in the street outside the home calling for mom, police said.
