Gastonia Woman Used Stolen Prescriptions to Get Painkillers

ar-160927817Police arrested a Gastonia woman after she illegally obtained painkillers from a pharmacy by using stolen prescriptions.

Amanda Rene Bailey, 35, of 1424 Shady Bark Drive, brought the prescriptions to the Anderson Health Mart Pharmacy in Cramerton at least three times. Each time, she obtained the narcotics Percocet and hydrocodone, according to police.

Bailey stole the prescription from Carolina Urology Partners, arrest warrants show.

Bailey has been charged with four felony counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud or forgery, eight counts of felony opium trafficking, and four counts of misdemeanor drug possession. She is held on $100,000 bond in Gaston County Jail.
