Police have arrested and charged an Iredell County man for soliciting sex acts from someone who is 13.
Barry Lee Carter, 59, has been charged with solicitation of a child by a computer or other electronic device to commit an unlawful sex act and indecent liberties with a child.
The charges were filed after sheriff’s investigators interviewed the teen at Statesville’s Dove House Children’s Advocacy Center, according to Sheriff Darren Campbell.
