The Lincoln County minister accused of taking advantage of a 13 year old has taken a plea deal.
Brandon Carter plead guilty to indecent liberties with a minor. He was arrested last March after the allegations were made. Shortly after, he resigned from his position as youth and music minister at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Cherryville. The alleged crimes happened at Carter’s home in Lincoln County.
Carter will spend 22 months in prison.
