A man is behind bars at the Rowan County jail Thursday morning for stealing copper and metal from a burned down mill.
The theft happened at the Grimes Mill in Salisbury. The mill burned to the ground earlier this month and officials are still investigating the fire. Tuesday morning witnesses spotted Cedric Thompson on the property. He was arrested Thursday morning in connection with the theft of copper and metal from the mill.
