ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A man was charged Tuesday after officers said they found marijuana in his vehicle on Interstate 85, according to Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
Alfred Benjamin Morgan, 39, of Georgia, was stopped for a moving violation around 5 a.m., according to officials.
Deputies discovered Morgan was operating a vehicle without a driver’s license and had three outstanding warrants.
Police said they searched his vehicle and found four pounds of high-grade marijuana was in the trunk with a street value of $16,000.
Morgan was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, no operator’s license and three counts of failure to appear for no operator’s license
Morgan was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $12,335. His first court appearance is set for May 1.
