LANCASTER, S.C. — A man is accused of trying to carjack two women in separate incidents and then vandalizing a church.
Lancaster County deputies said both women were able to fight off Jeremiah Stewart, 21, on Monday.
They said Stewart then went to Shiloh ARP Church and kicked over an angel statue.
Stewart is charged with two counts of attempted carjacking and malicious damage to property less than $2,000.
He is being held in the Lancaster County Jail while waiting for a bond hearing.
