Man Dies in Charlotte Hospital from Being Shot

gunCharlotte-Mecklenburg police said a man who was shot Sunday has died in the Charlotte Hospital.

Police had been called to CMC-University Sunday after a man was driven there by his girlfriend and suffering from gun wounds about 1:45 p.m.

The girlfriend said her boyfriend had driven to her house after being shot before she drove him to the hospital, according to police.

The man was pronounced dead later at the ER, police said.

The death is being investigated as a homicide by police.

Police detectives were reportedly interviewing the girlfriend at the hospital and collecting physical evidence.

Police will not release any names until the family has been notified.
