Police in Kannapolis are investigating a murder that happened Sunday night.
Around 8:30pm the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office sent police to a home off of South Ridge Avenue for a welfare check on a person. Officers had to force their way into the home and found a man dead and a woman with severe injuries. The woman was taken to CMC-Northeast with several injuries.
The investigation is still on going and there have been no arrests made. Kannapolis Police are asking anyone with information on this incident to call 704-920-4000.
