Man Found Shot Dead In Park, CMPD Search For Suspect

chalk outlineCHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are looking for the person who shot and killed a man in a southwest Charlotte park.

The shooting happened in the Pressley Road Neighborhood Park.

A neighbor said she heard gunshots and screams at about 12:30 a.m. Thursday. She said a half-hour later, teens coming out of the park told her that they had found a body and she walked to where it happened and called police.

Police spent four hours talking to people in the area in an effort to gather more information.

They have not released the name or age of the victim at this time.

Police also have not said if they have any suspects in the case.
