Man Jumped, Pistol-Whipped Walking To Get A Sno-Cone

Sno ConesROCK HILL, S.C.  — Rock Hill detectives are investigating a man’s claim that he was pistol-whipped and assaulted by six men on Saluda St. in Rock Hill while he was walking to get a snow cone on Thursday night.

The man, 20, told officers he was with a friend around 9 p.m. when one of the six men pulled a gun on him and demanded his cigarettes and cell phone, according to a Rock Hill police report.

He refused, he told police, and the man hit him with the gun, chipping his front teeth.

He then punched his attacker and he and his friend ran off, according to the report.

EMS responded to the police station when the man filed a report on Thursday after the incident, but the man refused medical attention, the report states.
