Man Lied to Police About Location of Roommate Accused of Theft

CIC Default Police Line TapeA 22-year-old man was arrested and accused of lying for a man in connection with felony sale of stolen property.

Olivia Anne Weldon, 21, is suspected of stealing three golden rings from a woman in an apartment complex nearby. She then sold the rings for $300 at Cash America Pawn & Jewelry.

The rings are valued at $1,000 and the incident occurred in January, arrest records show.

When Blake Daniel Fordham was asked by an officer about the location of Weldon, Fordham said he didn’t know her whereabouts, records show. But Weldon had actually been in the Fordham and Weldon’s apartment bedroom that they shared, arrest records show.

Fordham is charged with resisting a public officer for delaying the officer’s investigation, county records show.

Weldon has been charged with possessing stolen property, misdemeanor larceny, and obtaining property under false pretenses.
