A 19-year-old man was robbed of an iPhone and $360 in cash by someone he met to buy a gun from that his friend knew in Lake Wylie Sunday night, according to York County police.
The friend of the man drove him to the scene at Evergreen Road in Lake Wylie in a older model green Camaro with gray racing stripes, a sheriff’s office report said. When they arrived, a name going by the name “John” was waiting for them with a rife.
The victim was taking money out of his pocket to pay John when John pulled the victim out of the car. The friend drove away in the Camaro, then John used brass knuckles to punch the victim, the report said. The victim was left with many injuries.
The victim escaped and ran to a home nearby to call 911. From inside the house, the man saw the friend pick up John in a white Nissan Xterra.
Police couldn’t find the suspects or the cars involved.
