CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are looking into an early morning incident in which a man claims he was assaulted and robbed while staying at a hotel on North Tryon Street.
Police say the man told them he was a guest at City Center Inn when he opened his hotel room door around 4:00 a.m. to get fresh air. The victim claimed two men then entered the victim’s hotel room, assaulted him, robbed him, and fled the scene.
Police say the man was beaten, but is expected to survive his injuries.
The incident is currently under investigation.
