Man Sells Meth To Undercover Officer

A Connelly Springs man is in jail today for selling methamphetamine to an undercover police officer.

On Tuesday, twenty seven year old Billy Dean Potter was arrested by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office. According to police, Potter sold more than a quarter-ounce of meth to an undercover ICE agent in Lenoir. Police also found digital scales and other paraphernalia in his possession.

Potter is being charged with one count each of felonious possession with intent to sell/deliver methamphetamine, felonious sell and deliver methamphetamine, felonious maintaining a vehicle to keep/store a controlled substance, and misdemeanor hit and run. According to police, the street value of the drugs is $1200. As of Thursday morning Potter was still in jail under a $77,000 bond.
