A man in east Charlotte was shot in the leg early Monday morning, police said.
The incident happened around 3:15 a.m. close to the Seigle Avenue and 16th Street intersection in the Belmont community.
According to Channel 9, police said after the man was shot, he drove himself to a nearby Citgo gas station on The Plaza, exited the car, and collapsed. He was driving a grey BMW, a gas station clerk said.
According to police, the man’s injury is non-life-threatening.
The victim’s name has not been released and it is unclear if officials have any leads in the shooting.
