Man Shot In The Middle Of The Street; Shooter Sped Away

tape bullet holesCHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating a shooting in southwest Charlotte that left one person hurt late Monday night.

One person was shot in the middle of Grapevine Drive, near South Tryon Street.

Investigators said two men were walking down the street when they were approached by a dark sedan, and someone inside the vehicle shot at the men.

The victim was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with what police said are non-life threatening injuries.

His name has not been released.

Police said they do not have a suspect description.
