Marijuana Found In Home

Over 500 pounds of marijuana were found in a Rowan County home this week. This comes three months after the arrest of an accused drug trafficker who lived at that home. According to authorities, the drugs were found by a property owner who was doing construction at the home. The marijuana was found inside a metal compartment that had been buried under ground.

According to police, the wholesale value of the drugs was $531,000. The drugs had been hidden since September. The resident, Ismael Garcia-Gonzalez is already in jail for 40 pounds of marijuana that police had found on him. He’s being charged with trafficking marijuana. Authorities say Gonzalez will be faced with additional charges.
