Located in the middle of Mecklenburg County, the Metro Division is home to many of Charlotte’s historic neighborhoods. Portions of Interstate 77 and Interstate 85 run through the Metro Division, as well as Beatties Ford Road and West Brookshire Boulevard, all major roadways. Metro occupies over 13 square miles of the county just north of center city.
