LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — Police said a missing teenager with autism has been located safe near her Lincoln County home.
Alexa Ikard, 18, was reported missing after she was last seen at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Her family was concerned because they said she is also mentally challenged.
Deputies said calls from concerned citizens helped them find Ikard at a home on Southmont Road, not far from her home on East Highway 27.
They said she was safe and was returned to her parents.
