Mooresville Man Charged with Sexual Assault of Two Children over 16 Years

A man from Mooresville has been charged after being accused of sexually assaulting two children over the course of sixteen years.

Police from Iredell County arrested the man after family members brought forward reports of 54-year-old Robert Mark Moose sexually assaulting a child family member.

The initial accusations took place on December 30, 2017. According to the reports, the female victim reported that sexual assaults had taken place on more than one occasion between the months of August and December 2017.

A second victim was identified during the investigations. According to the victim, they were sexually assaulted on multiple occasions between November 2001 and February 2005.

The suspect was booked into Iredell County Jail where he faces a large number of charges including 12 counts of felony indecent liberties with a child, 10 counts of statutory rape of a child, and two counts of felony statutory rape/sexual offense of a child. Moose is in custody under a $1.5 million bond.
