NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — North Charleston police say a 21-year-old woman has been arrested after her 3-year-old son accidently shot and wounded her infant daughter.

Police say Kalea Pryor is charged with two drug counts and illegal conduct toward a child. It was not immediately clear if she had an attorney.

Police responded to a house Thursday evening after reports of a gunshot.

When police arrived, they found the infant with a gunshot wound in a car seat in the living room. Police say a handgun and drugs were found nearby.

The infant was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. There was no immediate word on her condition.
