Occupying the northernmost region of Mecklenburg County, it is estimated that North Division is home to over 75,000 residents. The division covers around 94 square miles, making it Charlotte’s largest division. North Division is responsible for enforcing the law and maintaining safety on Lake Norman and Mountain Island.
