Officers Working On Crime In Milton Road Area

Most people would not consider the Milton Road area in Charlotte a safe and quiet neighborhood. And according to police, it’s not safe and quiet. Police in the North Tryon Division say there’s lots of violence, robberies, shooting, and homicides. But police are working on cracking down on the crime in that area.

Members of the Safe Streets Task Force have arrested 12 suspects over the past couple days on drug, robbery, and weapons charges. Some are facing federal charges- Maurice Stuckey, 20, Ronald Centeno, 22, Arthur Thornton, 21, Shaquan Howell, 23, and Deshawn Lewis, 28. Police also raided a home off of Olinda Drive and found $12,000 in cash as well as cocaine and marijuana. Three people were arrested at the home.

Police are hoping the arrests will keep the area quiet for a while, but will continue their patrol of the area.
