One Dead After Shooting in North Charlotte

One person is dead following a shooting that occurred in north Charlotte on Saturday.

The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning on Saturday. Police responded to a call in the 2400 block of Carmine Street after shots were fired at approximately 12:00 a.m.

According to reports, the victim was in his place of residence with his family when he went outside. Shots were then fired, which struck the victim.

When police arrived at the scene, they found the man in his front yard with life-threatening gunshot wounds.

He was then taken to Carolinas Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
