One Injured in Northeast Charlotte Shooting

One person has been injured in a shooting that occurred in northeast Charlotte on Thursday morning.

Police reported that they were called to a home in the 4000 block of Abercomby Street at approximately 6:00 a.m.. The initial call was for a breaking and entering incident, but according to police, the victim had been shot at a separate location and then entered the home to ask for help from the people who lived there.

When police arrived on the scene, the victim was suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was then transported to the hospital for treatment of the wounds.

As of Thursday morning, the location of the shooting was still unknown, but investigations were taking place to try to determine the location, motive, and suspect in the shooting.

Police have not made any arrests in connection to the shooting. The condition of the victim is currently unknown.
