PA Woman Arresting for Stabbing Boyfriend at Thanksgiving Dinner

A forty-seven year-old woman from Luzerne County, Pennsylvania was arrested after she admitted to stabbing her boyfriend during Thanksgiving dinner.

Jack-Lyn Blake reportedly stabbed her boyfriend, Benjamin Smith, because he started Thanksgiving dinner while she was still sleeping off festivities from earlier that day. According to the police, Blake had become intoxicated earlier in the day and had an argument with Smith.

When she woke up shortly before 6:30 PM on Thursday and discovered that the dinner had started without her, she picked up a knife from the kitchen and began chasing Smith around a table in the dining room. She eventually did grab him and stabbed him in the chest.

Wilkes-Barre police were called to the scene and Blake admitted to stabbing Smith, who was taken to a local hospital and is expected to recover. Blake was charged with reckless endangerment and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for the incident. She was also charged with making terroristic threats.
