Charlotte-Mecklenburg police caught a suspect Wednesday in an east Charlotte break-in from an electronic monitoring device the suspect was wearing.
Police arrested and charged Devario Deshawn Hoover, 17, with felony breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.
The break-in happened at a house off East W.T. Harris Boulevard on Jan. 19.
Hoover had been wearing the monitoring device while on probation for different crimes. Police were able to see from the device that the man had been at the home of the break-in.
Hoover was jailed on a $25,000 bail.
