Police are investigating after a robbery was attempted at a bank in Steele Creek.
The robbery took place on Friday afternoon at approximately 3:00 p.m. Police arrived at the scene at 8180 S. Tyron St. at the Wood Forest Bank in Walmart.
According to police, a suspect described as a black male wearing a light colored hooded sweatshirt and a dark colored hat approached the bank. He then came up to an employee and gave them a note that demanded money.
The suspect, who was carrying a blue bag at the time, fled the scene after passing the note to the employee.
Police were able to view surveillance footage of the incident, and have released a picture in the hopes that the suspect will be recognized.
