Police Investigate Another Shooting in Northwest Charlotte

cic-default-crimereportPolice are investigating what is the third shooting in the west Charlotte area in two days.

Police were called to the scene on Wednesday morning. The shooting happened in the 4600 block of Wildwood Avenue. The police arrived at around 8:30 a.m. to find a victim who had been shot in the leg.

MEDIC says that his injuries are considered to be life-threatening. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, but the condition of the victim at the moment is unknown. 

Police have not yet released the circumstances of the shooting, or whether they are considering any suspects.

CMPD is still investigating two other shootings that took place on Tuesday morning. One took place at a Walmart on Wilkinson Boulevard, and another in a home on Katonah Avenue. Police ask anyone with information of any of the three incidents, to contact local police or Crime Stoppers.
