Police are investigating after a shooting in west Charlotte.
One person was injured after the shooting occurred on Nobles Avenue near the intersection of Billy Graham Parkway and West Boulevard. According to local police, the incident occurred at around 1:15 p.m.
911 calls began pouring in after multiple individuals got into an altercation in a parking lot and began exchanging gunfire.
When police arrived at the scene, they found one person suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Carolinas Medical Center for injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.
In addition to the injury, damages were reported such as bullet holes in a nearby car and bullet holes in a neighboring apartment. No other injuries were reported in connection to the shooting.
