MATTHEWS, N.C. – Matthews Police are looking for a suspect in a Tuesday afternoon bank robbery.
Around 1:15, Matthews Police responded to the BB&T Bank in the 300 block of East John Street.
Authorities say the suspect is a black female, standing 5-foot-4, wearing a tan knit cap, red eye glasses, gray sweatshirt, black pants, black sneakers, and was carrying a black backpack.
The suspect fled the scene in a black Toyota Yaris, police say.
