Police Respond to Call about Man Shooting at Snakes

handgunNeighbors called police on Thursday after a man in their neighborhood was shooting his gun at a copperhead snake in his yard.

The incident occurred just before noon around Willowbrook and Kimbrook Avenues. Neighbors reported hearing up to five shots in the area, the Rock Hill police report shows.

A man there admitted to shooting a handgun after he found snakes while doing yard work.

The man was told about laws against shooting guns in city limits, but he wasn’t charged. Police told him other ways he could handle his problem in the future.
