Police Search for Man in Rock Hill Stabbing

BOOZER, DENZELRock Hill police are searching for a man who stabbed another man in the abdomen on Monday.

The suspect is 23-year-old Denzel Boozer, who police said allegedly stabbed the victim over someone being “disrespectful,” according to an incident report.

The 51-year-old victim was stabbed at a Lucky Court home around 7 p.m. His injuries were seriously but not believed to be life-threatening, according to Rock Hill Police Department spokesman Capt. Mark Bollinger.

Boozer is wanted on warrants for possession of weapon during a violent crime and attempted murder, according to police. Police said Boozer has distincitve tattoos and scars on his face.

According to the victim, he and Boozer got into an argument Monday night after Boozer had shown disrespect to family members at his grandmother’s home. The victim was then stabbed by Boozer in the left side of his stomach before being threatened with a gun, according to the police report.
