CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say one person is hospitalized following a shooting in west Charlotte.
Police were called out to the 2600 block of Reid Park Lane off of Tuckaseegee Road Thursday morning on reports of shots fired.
MEDIC on the scene said one person was transported to Carolinas Medical Center with life threatening injuries.
CMPD is actively searching for the suspect.
Authorities say their investigation thus far indicates the victim and the suspect were known to one another.
