Police Seek Help To Find Missing Man With Medical Issues

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is searching for a missing man with medical issues.

Police said 48-year-old Emmanuel Mendy left a family residence for walk on Long Nook Lane in southeast Charlotte last Tuesday.

Mendy regularly walks in his neighborhood for 30 to 45 minutes and then returns home, according to police.

Family members grew concerned when  Mendy did not return home, searched the area, and then called 911, police said.

Mendy was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, flip-flops, and carrying a white plastic bag.  He is being treated for several medical issues and is without his medication.

Anyone who sees or has information about Emmanuel Mendy is asked to call 911 immediately.  In addition, you may also call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.  Detective J. L. Tuttle is the lead detective in this case.
