Police Seek Suspect in Charlotte Stabbing Tuesday

image002 (14)Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are looking for a man who stabbed another man Tuesday.

The stabbing occurred at Archdale Drive and Old Pineville Road.

Medic brought a stabbing victim to Carolinas Medical Center about 3:45 p.m. The man had serious injuries, according to police.

Video surveillance images of the man suspected in the incident have been released by police. It is unclear whether police think the attack was random or the victim and assailant knew each other.

The suspect is described as a bearded black male. He is wearing a yellow zip-up jacket under a black sweatshirt and blue jeans and white athletic shoes. Police say the man might also have a slight limp when he walks.

The suspect was seen last at the Scalybark Station, exiting the light rail.
