CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Police are searching for leads in a homicide on an East Charlotte street.
Officers say they got a 9-1-1 call about shots being fired near 2200 Finchley Drive around 2:30 Saturday morning. When officers arrived, they found a man with an apparent gunshot wound. MEDIC pronounced the man dead minutes later.
Police are working on notifying the man’s family. Once they do, they will release his name.
Detectives are working to gather evidence and find witnesses to the shooting.
