Police Seeking Mother Who Hit Her Children’s Father with SUV

hot carA woman allegedly ran into her children’s father with a car in a Steak ‘n Shake parking lot while the children were inside the vehicle, Rock Hill police said.

The incident happened around 7:30 a.m. Friday on Cherry Road, the police report shows. The man said he had pain in his wrist but declined EMS help.

According to the victim, he was arguing with the 31-year-old mother as they were driving on Cherry Road, police said. The man then exited the vehicle when the mother stopped the SUV at an intersection and began walking through the parking lot of the Steak ‘n Shake.

The suspect then drove the car into the parking lot and hit the victim with the vehicle, according to police. Restaurant employees said they witnessed the victim being hit and landing on the SUV’s hood afterwards. It was reported that the car went about 30 feet and then the victim fell into bushes.

The activity was caught on surveillance footage.

Police are searching for the suspect. The victim had told them that she could be going to daycare to drop off their children. When officers arrived at the daycare, they found the suspect had already dropped of the children.

The suspect will face charges of leaving the scene of an accident and criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.
