Police are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest of someone in a shooting and killing that happened Tuesday.
The incident happened in Monroe at the Relax Inn in the 600 block of West Roosevelt Boulevard. The shooting victim was Danny McGriff Jr., 39, of Lancaster, who was found dead on a walkway at the motel around 11:20 p.m.
Police said McGriff was shot in his chest.
The reward is being offered by Union County Crime Stoppers is offering the reward. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 704-283- 5600 or the Monroe Police Department at 704-282-4700.
